Need a hotel for BronyCAN? Try the Ramada across the street!
We understand that many of you are still in need of lodging for the con, but we’re sorry to say that we will not be able provide an alternative hotel code. However, don’t fret as we have learned that the Ramada Vancouver Airport Hotel is offering rooms at $129 CAD per night for August 22-24 weekend! And the best part is, it’s just across the street from the our venue! Talk about convenience, eh?
Like at the Executive, space is limited, so book your rooms now while you still can!
I am tempted to go to BronyCon some year, just to see the sheer size of it. But sadly this will not be that year. Instead, I’ll be driving around the Olympic National Park in Washington state that weekend, and then a few weeks later I’ll be staffing the BronyCAN convention in Richmond, BC.

From his webpage, his bio is as follows:

Who are we to argue with his mom? Want to come meet this handsome hoof behind the pony panels? Then you better make it to Everfree Northwest next weekend, where admission is still available at the door and a fun time awaits for all.
It’s really not often that I make it to Equestria Daily in any shape or form, but I actually did with a post made yesterday about the Vancouver screening of A Brony Tale.
It was just very disheartening to read some of the comments speaking about the particular form that I was in at the time: namely, the Rainbow Dash costume (the one on the right hand side of this photo).
Out of a fandom that has encouraged so much creativity related to the show, it really feels like a kick in the gut when you’re slapped with the “creepy” and “poorly designed” labels.
I know that not everyone likes full body mascot-style costumes, but the level of hate for them that this fandom produces seems utterly out of proportion.
It’s far more acceptable to create more humanized versions of the characters in a more anime-like cosplay, no matter whether you have a body type that makes it look half-way decent (or not), than it is to have something that actually goes out of the way to properly look like the character?
I know that wearing a full body costume is not for everyone, but to have that style be demonized utterly boggles my mind.
What I will say is that at the event, the reception that we got from everyone there was overwhelmingly positive. The director, Brent Hodge, had specifically requested that people who had these kinds of costumes to attend and come on stage. We were out and about in the theatre foyer in the hour before the show started, and mingled with the audience there. There was a photo area set up, and once we went there, we simply couldn’t get away because we were swarmed by people who wanted photos with us - including plenty of people who work on the show. (By the way, Peter New is such a camera whore - in the nicest possible way! He kept coming back to get more photos with us ;)
Sadly, I had to leave before the Q&A period, where the other remaining costumes stayed on stage with Brent and Ashleigh.
Yet, my Rainbow Dash costume will be down at the Seattle screening of the film next weekend. It won’t be me with her though, since I’m in the UK for a couple of weeks.
Some MLP and MLP-esque style commissions I took a while ago. I’ve had a few people asking about commissions - I anticipate that I will usually do a stream every Tuesday or Wednesday around 11am Eastern. Adult content is A-OKAY and prices typically range from $15 - $50 dependent on content, colour, and the like.
Also, please check that your question hasn’t already been answered in some form before submitting one - I hate having to delete questions and have people feel ignored because it was something I already drew. There’s an archive link on the main page that instantly opens all art associated with this blog - This should give a rough idea!
Reblogging, because that dark colored griffon (2nd down on the left) is Meta! (one of my OCs)
I designed her as a character for the Equestrian Dawn MUSH (which I’m now no longer a part of) as being a “obtainer and trader of information and secrets” (ok, ok… freelance spy), as I thought that a character like that would be good for helping out in role plays. Well, perhaps in a structured RP she would have, but none of the RPs on that MUSH ever seemed to work out like that.
She’s extremely intelligent, has an eidetic memory, speaks multiple languages, skilled in camouflage, and developed her own form of code writing where she writes across multiple volumes and if ever one is lost/stolen, can reconstruct what was lost from it. Yes, she developed Equestria’s first version of RAID5 :)
Now able to post this one up for #FursuitFriday as I finally have photos! Yup, I have a Rainbow Dash costume. This was made by PhoenixWolf, originally for the Anime Detour convention a few years ago. She had it at Midwest FurFest last year, and then auctioned it off a little later, and I picked it up.
I had to do a little bit of sizing alterations, and had her ready for the VancouFur convention this year. Rainbow will also be coming with me down to Everfree NorthWest (SeaTac, WA over July 4 weekend) and BronyCAN (Richmond, BC over August 22-24).
We’ve scheduled Everfree Northwest 2014’s official Meetup! If you’re a member of meetup.com, feel free to RSVP!
Hey, check this out dweebs. I made the newspaper out at Vancoufur a couple weeks ago! Of course, Rainbow Crash tried to steal the spotlight, but that wasn’t happening on my watch! It’s ALL about Gilda!
Sometimes when you’re a Hunter and need to take down all kinds of evil or demonic creatures to bring them to Tartarus, you need weapons to do it.
wOWOWOWOWOWOWOowW! Guys! Another giveaway! Horieshiet man!
Well… I’m going to sketch 5 full body pictures (maybe more if I get time)

My primary OC, Spectrum, flying around and generally being awesome.
Um… None taken?
Actually, it wouldn’t be the first time. After losing my father, I went wandering around Equestria for a while. It just so happened to be right after Rainbow Dash won the Best Young Flier contest (of which I would have been at had it not been for … bad stuff) All the news that really filtered down to the various towns was that a “Pegasus with rainbow mane” won - and since I’m a Pegasus with a rainbow mane, I got confused for her.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, after going to Ponyville, finding out that she is there (and not too happy that I ended up doing weather patrol duties - serves her right for going off and saving the world again, I guess), she sends me up to a weather conference in Detrot, because apparently she’s “too cool for boring stuff like that”, I get confused for her again.
Actually, that conference turned out well for me. Got to re-unite with my Aunt Swift Current again.
Said thing is a surprise.
Some of you will be in the thing (you know who you are probably).
But reblog if you wanna be part of the thing.
